Meet the Owner
As a passionate dog trainer and the proud owner of The Cooperative Canine, LLC, I specialize in providing positive reinforcement dog training solutions that enhance the bond between humans and their canine companions. With over 15 years of experience in canine behavior, dog training, and animal welfare, my goal is to help both dogs and their owners achieve greater harmony, understanding, and joy through kind, effective behavior modification.
A Colorado native, I am deeply committed to improving the lives of animals in my community. Throughout my career, I have developed a particular passion for behavior modification, and training in the context of animal rescues and shelters, striving to provide compassionate care and guidance to dogs and their new families.
I hold a master’s degree in Animal Shelter Management from Colorado State University, where I focused on animal welfare leadership and canine cognition and behavior. One of the highlights of my graduate studies was collaborating with the behavior team at my local Humane Society to develop and lead puppy socialization classes, fostering positive early experiences for young dogs.
In addition, I earned my professional dog trainer certification from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy, graduating with distinction. My training philosophy is rooted in positive, reward-based techniques, which are based in science and build trust, improve behavior, and strengthen the human-animal bond.
Whether you're looking to address specific dog behavior problems, like aggression or reactivity, seeking puppy training, or simply want a better-behaved companion, my services are designed to help you and your dog thrive together. I work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and backgrounds, providing tailored solutions to meet each unique need.
Based in Longmont, CO and serving Boulder County and surrounding areas, I’m dedicated to helping you and your dog live your best life. Let’s build better behavior, together!
